Can Graviola Cure Cancer and other Illnesses?

Can Graviola Cure Cancer?

There are two sides to this debate and we will present them both and let you decide.

If you have your own personal experience, please post below and let us know if it helped you.

The Side that Thinks Yes

Indigenous peoples from the Amazon have used the graviola for centuries to treat heart disease, asthma, liver problems, and arthritis.

The Sour Sop or the fruit from the graviola tree is a miraculous natural cancer cell killer 10,000 times stronger than Chemo.

In English we call it “soursop” in English. The fruit is very large and the subacid sweet white pulp is eaten out of hand or, more commonly, used to make fruit drinks, sherbets and such.
The principal interest in this plant is because of its strong anti-cancer effects. Although it is effective for a number of medical conditions, it is its anti tumor effect that is of most interest. This plant is a proven cancer remedy for cancers of all types.

Besides being a cancer remedy, graviola is a broad spectrum antimicrobial agent for both bacterial and fungal infections, is effective against internal parasites and worms, lowers high blood pressure and is used for depression, stress and nervous disorders.

Research shows that with extracts from this miraculous tree it now may be possible to:

  • Attack cancer safely and effectively with an all-natural therapy that does not cause extreme nausea, weight loss and hair loss
  • Protect your immune system and avoid deadly infections
  • Feel stronger and healthier throughout the course of the treatment
  • Boost your energy and improve your outlook on life

The source of this information is just as stunning: It comes from one of America ‘s largest drug manufacturers, the fruit of over 20 laboratory tests conducted since the 1970's. What those tests revealed was nothing short of mind numbing…
Extracts from the tree were shown to:

  • Effectively target and kill malignant cells in 12 types of cancer, including colon, breast, prostate, lung and pancreatic cancer..
  • The tree compounds proved to be up to 10,000 times stronger in slowing the growth of cancer cells than Adriamycin, a commonly used chemotherapeutic drug!
  •   What’s more, unlike chemotherapy, the compound extracted from the Graviola tree selectively hunts down and kills only cancer cells.. It does not harm healthy cells!

The amazing anti-cancer properties of the Graviola tree have been extensively researched–so why haven’t you heard anything about it? If Graviola extract is a cure for cancer?

One of America ‘s biggest billion-dollar drug makers began a search for a cancer cure and their research centered on Graviola, a legendary healing tree from the Amazon Rainforest.

Various parts of the Graviola tree–including the bark, leaves, roots, fruit and fruit-seeds–have been used for centuries by medicine men and native Indi! ans in S outh America to treat heart disease, asthma, liver problems and arthritis. Going on very little documented scientific evidence, the company poured money and resources into testing the tree’s anti-cancerous properties–and were shocked by the results. Graviola proved itself to be a cancer-killing dynamo.
But that’s where the Graviola story nearly ended.

The company had one huge problem with the Graviola tree–it’s completely natural, and so, under federal law, not patentable. There’s no way to make serious profits from it.

It turns out the drug company invested nearly seven years trying to synthesize two of the Graviola tree’s most powerful anti-cancer ingredients. If they could isolate and produce man-made clones of what makes the Graviola so potent, they’d be able to patent it and make their money back. Alas, they hit a brick wall. The original simply could not be replicated. There was no way the company could protect its profits–or even make back the millions it poured into research.

As the dream of huge profits evaporated, their testing on Graviola came to a screeching halt. Even worse, the company shelved the entire project and chose not to publish the findings of its research!

Luckily, however, there was one scientist from the Graviola research team whose conscience wouldn’t let him see such atrocity committed. Risking his career, he contacted a company that’s dedicated to harvesting medical plants from the Amazon Rainforest and blew the whistle.

Miracle unleashed
When researchers at the Health Sciences Institute were alerted to the news of Graviola,! they be gan tracking the research done on the cancer-killing tree. Evidence of the astounding effectiveness of Graviola–and its shocking cover-up–came in fast and furious….

….The National Cancer Institute performed the first scientific research in 1976. The results showed that Graviola’s “leaves and stems were found effective in attacking and destroying malignant cells.” Inexplicably, the results were published in an internal report and never released to the public…

….Since 1976, Graviola has proven to be an immensely potent cancer killer in 20 independent laboratory tests, yet no double-blind clinical trials–the typical benchmark mainstream doctors and journals use to judge a treatment’s value–were ever initiated….

….A study published in the Journal of Natural Products, following a recent study conducted at Catholic University of South Korea stated that one chemical in Graviola was found to selectively kill colon cancer cells at “10,000 times the potency of (the commonly used chemotherapy drug) Adriamycin…”

….The most significant part of the Catholic University of South Korea report is that Graviola was shown to selectively target the cancer cells, leaving healthy cells untouched. Unlike chemotherapy, which indiscriminately targets all actively reproducing cells (such as stomach and hair cells), causing the often devastating side effects of nausea and hair loss in cancer patients.

…A study at Purdue University recently found that leaves from the Graviola tree killed cancer cells among six human cell lines and were especially effective against prostate, pancreatic and lung cancers Seven years of silence broken–it’s finally here!

Cancer Cure: Soursop Shows Strong Evidence in Studies

"Research done over 20 laboratory tests by one of America’s largest drug manufacturers suggests that the extracts were able to demonstrate the following:
Effectively target and kill malignant cells in 12 types of cancer, including colon, breast, prostate, lung and pancreatic cancer.
The tree compounds proved to be up to 10,000 times stronger in slowing the growth of cancer cells than Adriamycin, a commonly used chemotherapeutic drug

The Side That Thinks No

According to Cancer Research UK:

"Overall, there is no evidence to show that graviola works as a cure for cancer. In laboratory studies, graviola extracts can kill some types of liver and breast cancer cells that are resistant to particular chemotherapy drugs. But there haven’t been any large scale studies in humans. So we don't know yet whether it can work as a cancer treatment or not. Many sites on the internet advertise and promote graviola capsules as a cancer cure, but none of them are supported by any reputable scientific cancer organisations.

People in African and South American countries have used graviola to treat infections with viruses or parasites, rheumatism, arthritis, depression, and sickness. We know from research that some graviola extracts can help to treat these conditions. In many countries, people use the bark, leaves, root, and fruits of this tree for traditional remedies.
We don’t know much about how graviola affects the body. But some researchers are concerned that particular chemicals present in graviola may cause nerve changes and movement disorders when taken in large amounts. The nerve changes may cause symptoms similar to Parkinson's disease. Laboratory research has found that some substances in graviola cause nerve damage and that these substances can cross into the brain from the bloodstream.
One research study has shown that people in the Caribbean who had large amounts of graviola in their diet were more likely to develop particular nerve changes and were also more likely to have hallucinations. It is unlikely that drinks or foods containing graviola could harm you when taken as part of a normal diet. But always talk to your doctor before taking any kind of complementary or alternative therapy."

So, thought I would try beets...

Yep, woke up feeling brave today. Googled juicing beets because to tell you the truth, I really wasn't sure what to do at all with these things. This is what I found out.

1. You can juice the whole beet, stem, leaves and all. Just Wash it really good!

2. Cut it into smaller pieces so it will juice easier.

3. It will stain anything it touches purple. You may be sporting a purple mustache for awhile.

 4. Did you ever try to eat dirt as a kid? The taste and smell of beets slightly resemble...that.

Ok, Ok just kidding, it wasn't that bad. I think maybe if you use half a beet you might not even taste it. I used  a whole one, roots, stems and all. And it still wasn't that bad. Probably will not juice beets everyday but maybe once week I'm thinking.  I did mix it in with lettuce, carrots, green apple, spinach, kale and lemon.

It did make a really pretty juice!

How to get Protein into your Diet When You Don't Eat Meat

Basically females need 46 grams of protein and males need 56 grams a day according to the CDC. Of course it may vary slightly dependent on age, height, weight, and health. The general rule is approximately 8 grams of protein for every kilogram of weight.
  • Pumpkin Seeds  – 3.5 oz equals 38 grams of protein
  • Peanuts – 3.5 oz equals 24 grams of protein
  • Almonds – 3.5 oz equals 21 grams of protein
  • Chickpeas – 3.5 oz equals 15 grams of protein
  • Seitan (also called the “wheat meat”) – 3 oz equals 31 grams of protein
  • Tempeh (fermented whole soybeans) – 4 oz equals 20 grams of protein
  • Texurized Vegetable Protein (made with soy flour) – 3oz equals 13 grams of protein
  • Whole Wheat Bread – one slice equals 10 grams of protein
  • Oikos Organic Greek Yogurt -5.3 oz equals 15 grams of protein. P.S. Although an animal source of protein, Greek Yogurt has more than twice the protein of regular yogurt and is lower in sugar and lactose.
  • Garlic – 3.5 oz equals 6 grams of protein
  • White or brown rice, water cress, broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower or brussel sprouts – 3.5 oz equals 3 grams of protein
  • Hemp  65% of the total protein content of hemp seed comes from the globular protein edestin, which is easily digested, absorbed, and utilized by the human body. IT closely resembles the globulin found in human blood plasma, which is vital to maintaining a healthy immune system.
  • Spirulina  It is approximately 65 to 71 percent complete protein in its natural state. This is higher than virtually any other unprocessed food.
  • Soy is used by some but studies have found that it blocks the absorption of important minerals such as calcium unless the phytates have been removed, and soy contains high levels of phytoestrogens, which although beneficial in moderate amounts, can be counter-productive in large amounts -- particularly for children.
  • Whey protein is the collection of globular proteins isolated from Whey, a by-product of cheese manufactured from cow's milk. The protein in cow's milk is 20% whey protein and 80% casein protein.
Each person's diet is different, especially if you are dealing with an illness. Some people can't eat soy, dairy or nuts. It depends on if you are doing the Lyme, Blood Type, or Candida diet to what you may ingest to get your protein for the day.

Here are some ways to get protein from your veggies.

Second Week of Juicing and Eating All Organic

Don't use too much lemon!
So week # 2 is now complete.

I still am noticing I feel better after I juice in the morning. As soon as I do, I get a burst of energy about twenty minutes later. It's like you can feel all the nutrients being absorbed. I still am pretty much juicing once in the morning and then eating an organic meal at night. And usually the meal is something like organic chicken and quinoa with some veggies.

Unfortunately symptom wise I had a rough week though. I even ended up in th ER one day. And believe me it takes a lot to get me there. But I woke up and one eye wouldn't open...so I was afraid I was having another TIA. But cat scan and ekg showed everything was normal.

Since that happened Im starting to have trouble opening both eyes each morning, I have no idea what it is. I can't seem to find much online about this happening either.

But back to the juicing, it definitly gives me energy. I'm going to keep on doing it. Mostly still juicing carrots, green apples, cilantro, kale, celery, and a little lemon. PS: Too much lemon makes it taste like a Starburst, which to some people would probably be good, but to me... yuck! I think I need to start adding in more antioxidants like berries..so going to add that to the list.

Also on a side note, I have lost ten pounds in the first nine days of juicing.

Juicing Basics

This post is going to be a work in progress...I will keep updating it for newbies like me as I learn new things.

But I'd like to compile all the basic juicing questions here and try to answer them so people who are starting out and may be embarrassed to ask them. One of the things I get asked the most is, is the juicer a pain in the butt to cleans when you are done. The answer is no, it's not, it's very simple. I have a Jack LaLanne, so I don't know about other juicers, but here is a video I made really fast to show you how easy it is. Not much fuss at all.

Low Blood Pressure?

This post is for those who are suffering from POTS/dysautonomia. If you are like me, your neurologist told you to increase my low blood pressure, I need to take in more fluids and salt. So I wanted to see what else there was to help naturally increase low blood pressure.

Here are some foods that are good for constricting your blood vessels. When blood vessels constrict it helps raise your blood pressure.
Read More Here

* To Regulate blood pressure:
When people say salt causes high blood pressure it is the toxic table salt that is the culprit. Celtic sea salt has been shown to actually normalize blood pressure. If you have high blood pressure, pure salt will bring it down. But if you have low blood pressure, pure salt will bring it up.

First Week of Juicing Done!

Ok so one week down. The first three days were pretty bad. I was so sick. It was hard to get up to even make the juice. The first two days I did the lemon, kale, celery, ginger, apple, cucumber and kale recipe. I found it really spicy and I don't particularly care for celery so I cut that down a bit..to smaller amounts, and started adding in some blueberries or strawberries once in awhile. I make a juice in the morning (which for me is afternoon when I finally get up, insomnia is one of my symptoms.) So when I get up I make a juice...then I made a crock pot of organic chicken soup with veggies. I don't eat meat often but when I do it is grass fed..organic and all that other good stuff.

Anyways  on the third day I was sooo sick I couldn't get up to even make the juice. I just laid in bed all day and night. Just eating one bowl of soup.

On the fourth day I felt totally sick again when I woke up. At about 5pm I forced myself to get up and make juice. About twenty minutes later, I felt pretty good. I walked my dog, Oliver, went to my moms and to my daughters to visit and felt functional enough to come home and clean my apartment. I haven't felt that good in  months.

On the fifth day I felt great again. Woke up and got up right away and juiced. It seems to do one of two things, I either get this weird sudden fatigue that sets in..for about twenty minutes to an hour then I get a boost of energy or I just go straight for the boost of energy after I drink the juice. I'm no sure what that fatigue thing is all about. It's like I go into this sleepy fog...then it lifts.

But now a week later, I can say I have had some pretty good functional days.

Here's my symptoms list this week:
(starting with most prominent symptoms)

1. Non ambition...the feeling of not wanting to move
2. Insomnia
3. Feeling sick upon wakening
4. When I try to go somewhere... the feeling of dizziness and weakness and head just feeling strange.

Symptoms I had some improvement over this week:

1. Dizziness
2. Head Pressure
3. I could stand longer periods of time (did the dishes and showered a couple times)
4. Heart burn gone.
