Alkalizing Foods

Definitions:

Alkalosis refers to a condition reducing hydrogen ion concentration of arterial blood plasma (alkalemia). Generally alkalosis is said to occur when arterial pH exceeds 7.45. The opposite condition is acidosis. (Source: Wikipedia)

 Acidosis is an increased acidity (i.e. an increased hydrogen ion concentration). If not further qualified, it refers to acidity of the blood plasma. Generally, acidosis is said to occur when arterial pH falls below 7.35, while its counterpart (alkalosis) occurs at a pH over 7.45. Normal Range: Our blood pH should be  ( 7.35 - 7.45 ). Below or above this range means symptoms and disease. A pH of 7.0 is neutral. A pH below 7.0 is acidic. A pH above 7.0 is alkaline.

What happens if you are acidic? If you are too acidic it will decrease the body's ability to absorb minerals and other nutrients, decrease the energy production in the cells, decrease it's ability to repair damaged cells, decrease it's ability to detoxify heavy metals,  tumor cells will thrive, and you will become more susceptible to fatigue and illness.

How do you test for alkaline/acidity? 

1. Take the Online Acidic Test

2. You can test yourself right at home using PH Strips. There are urine and saliva testers. You should do it at least two hours away from eating.

  1. took the online test, and I'm acidic by their estimate, and probably am a bit. But I eat a lot of the akaline foods, so am on the right track!

  2. How about drinking energized, alkaline water (slightly above 7) that flushes the toxins from within the cells. We have several Lyme's patients in our Milwaukee community that get results (herxing first) within hours.

    1. Hi Stacy, yes I have a few friends here (Im not far from MIlwaukee) that have alkalizing water machines. My chiropractor had one too and used to give me water. Are you guys having good results with this? Feel free to post your business or store here...
